BBBS once again started the year with a BANG by announcing our Bigs of the Year during our Mentoring Month Celebration on the steps of City Hall.
Congratulations to our 2026 Bigs of the Year! Big Sister Sandra and Big Brother Lyndon!!
Their Littles were asked to write about why their Big should be chosen. At the ceremony, their sentiments were read out to them. It was very touching and there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. Choosing to be a mentor is a very important role to both the Littles and their families. It is a chance to provide extra support to the family and to help guide the littles in a positive way.
This year, we again acknowledged Bermuda’s Male and Female Mentors of the Year. Persons were asked to submit who they felt was an inspiration in their lives and mentored them along the way. Congratulations to Ms. Sia Spence and Mr. Naquan Smith on your accomplishment.
During this event, we also acknowledged several of our community partners and persons who have made a difference to our organization.
